This past week, the Virginia Department of Health approved a COVID-19 vaccine for adolescents aged 12-15 years. FCFT encourages all eligible adolescents and youth to get vaccinated to slow the spread of this disease.

Virginians over the age of 12 can schedule a vaccination appointment by visiting vaccinate.virginia.gov or calling 877-VAX-IN-VA (877-829-4682, TTY users call 7-1-1). Beginning Monday, May 17, the call center hours will change to 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

For Parents: Vaccinating your adolescent can help stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect them from serious illness. Clinical trials have shown that the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective for adolescents aged 12-15 years. Find your child’s free vaccination today.
