FCFT SubCommittees

Behavioral Health Committee
Made up of School Social Workers, School Psychologists, School Counselors, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Audiologists, etc. to identify key areas for development in these job classes. Highlighting your common interests, this committee will work to identify solutions for ongoing issues.
Specialists
Committee
Will be made up of Art Teachers, Music Teachers, Physical Education Teachers, Career and Technical Education Teachers, etc., to protect and maintain key areas of education in an ever-changing political economy.
Operational Committee
Will be made up of transportation workers, custodial employees, food service workers, and maintenance and trades workers to create safer working conditions for workers who have historically been left behind. This committee will likely work closely with the Safety Committee as they identify issues like heat conditions, snow-day policies, etc.
Political Committee
Will work to make endorsements, identify key policy changes, and be an active member in the Virginia political system that determines our working conditions in FCPS and the conditions of our communities.
Special Education
Committee
Will be made up of special education workers in and out of the classroom. This committee will identify ongoing issues and room for development in the education of some of our highest need students. This education will work closely with SEPTA to strengthen community relationships and bridge the gaps in our special education programs.
